How to register on UNGM for free as a supplier or consultant

UNGM registration is free. You do not need UNGM Pro to register or access public procurement opportunities. Choose the account that fits your situation, then complete the registration information after activation.

If you have just found a suitable assignment, do not leave account setup until the final hour. This guide separates the supplier and independent consultant routes and explains what remains to be done after the activation email.

What can you do on UNGM for free?

UNGM does not charge for registration stages or access to UN organizations’ published procurement opportunities. UNGM Pro is a separate paid service with additional search and monitoring tools. A Pro subscription should not be confused with registration.

Start by identifying a relevant notice and its participation requirements. Your immediate task is to obtain the right access and prepare the requested response. A subscription replaces neither step.

Supplier or individual consultant: which account do you need?

Use Supplier for a company providing goods or services, and Individual Consultant for a personal consulting application. UNGM has other categories, including implementing partners. Check which route matches your situation.

Start with the applicant type in the notice and the person or entity that will actually respond. If you are deciding between your personal profile and your firm, resolve that before opening an account. An account in the wrong name makes application preparation harder.

Create and activate a supplier account

Select the supplier registration route on the official UNGM website. Prepare the legal name, official identifier and a valid email address. Read the Code of Conduct, complete the form and activate the account through the email you receive.

Use information from official records. If UNGM flags a similar existing account, its guidance recommends contacting support. Check existing access with your team before opening another account.

After activation, what is left to complete?

For suppliers, continue with Basic registration. The form covers company information, address, countries of business, contacts, goods and services, and the eligibility declaration. Goods and services are classified using UNSPSC codes.

Select activities and countries that match what your company can actually deliver. Get information from the person who knows it rather than guessing to finish the form. Afterwards, check the statuses displayed with organizations in your account.

What changes for an independent consultant?

Use the individual consultant route rather than a company form. Your personal information should match your official identification, and the route also requests an official identifier. After activation, complete the profile sections, including geographical scope, activities and the eligibility declaration.

If you are unsure which identifier to provide, consult the individual account guide or ask support before finishing the form. Keep your CV and references separately: a platform profile is not the application package for a specific assignment.

Do you need Level 1 and Level 2 straight away?

For suppliers, UNGM distinguishes Basic from additional registration levels. Published Level 1 and Level 2 requirements include more detailed evidence, such as legal status documents, references and, depending on the level, financial documents. Check the official list and the opportunity’s requirements before preparing them.

Do not assume every account or contract requires the same documents. Supplier requirements should not automatically be applied to individual consultants. Where a translation or certification is requested, check the precise instructions.

Missing email or an existing account: where should you start?

Check the address you entered and your spam folder. The supplier registration route provides a way to resend the activation message. If your organization already has an account, establish who manages it before opening another. Keep the error message so you can explain the problem to support.

Use help links on the official website. A support request should explain the blocked step, not include your password. Avoid attaching personal or financial documents that have not been requested.

Once registered, how do you find a first application?

Registration guarantees neither invitations nor contracts. UNGM recommends searching the notices and following the organization’s instructions, which may use another system for documents or submission.

Choose a notice whose work you understand. Check applicant type, criteria, documents and deadline, then test access to the submission channel. Track the reference, next action and responsible person. You can use WTender’s public offers to discover assignments and then follow their official sources.
